When a check is useful
- A tire-pressure warning appears or seasonal temperature changes affect inflation.
- You are preparing for travel or want pressures reviewed after tire or wheel service.
Low pressure needs context
Temperature changes can alter readings, but repeated loss from one tire may indicate a puncture, valve leak, or wheel concern. A monitoring-system fault can also produce a warning. Adding air does not repair a leak, and appearance alone is not a reliable measure of correct inflation.
What the service can include
The appropriate pressure specification and measurement conditions are identified. All relevant tires, including a spare where applicable and accessible, can be checked according to the agreed scope. Inflation is adjusted appropriately, and an abnormal loss pattern may warrant leak inspection. Any required monitoring reset or relearn is considered for the vehicle rather than assumed universal.
Before driving
If a tire is visibly flat, has a bulge, or loses pressure rapidly, stop safely and arrange assistance. Tell D&S when the warning appears and how often air is needed. Pressure checks support maintenance, but they do not establish that damaged tread or sidewalls are safe for continued use.
